DIRTY SUGAR presents SENSE MEMORY, the third and final dtpE – The Deconstructive Theatre Project EXPERIENCE of the 2012 season.
Dirty Sugar Photography Studio
1717 Troutman Street
Thursday, December 13, 2012, 7:30 PM
SENSE MEMORY collides the past, present, and the future by combining experiences from the worlds of sight, sound, and taste. Brooklyn-based photographer James Reddington will debut photographs from his in progress Memory Project; chef Jeff Creager will transform your personal memories into unique culinary dishes, and local musicians will conjure the past by performing cover tunes of songs from the collective memory.
We’re looking forward to seeing many of you at tomorrow’s dtpE # 2 – This is Your Brain on Art at 8:00 PM at 3rd Ward!
Dr. Ed Vessel, NYU Research Scientist and cognitive neuroscientist, has just jumped on board for our neuroaesthetics panel, joining the previously announced Noah Hutton and Dr. M.A. Greenstein.
Dr. Edward Vessel is a cognitive neuroscientist who received his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and is currently a Research Scientist at the New York University Center for Brain Imaging. His lab conducts research on the neural basis of aesthetic experience and visual preferences using behavioral, psychophysiological, and imaging techniques for measuring preferences, aesthetic responses and information seeking.

You’re probably as excited as I am about Friday’s UNDERWORLD, a DTP fundraiser featuring actual fire-breathing and sky high aerial work. If that’s not enough for you, add great music and drink specials.
You can get your tickets now for just $15, saving a few bucks from buying at the door.
This is also your first chance to see Adam (DTP’s Founding Director) flying himself. He’s been spending hours rehearsing for this (as you can see from the picture) and you don’t want to miss it.
All money raised from your tax-deductible ticket purchase goes toward our first New York premiere of “The Orpheus Variations”, coming late August.
Thanks for your continued support and look forward to seeing you on Friday,
Ryan J. Davis
